“Desert Winds” Original Painting

The warm breezes of a western desert weaved through my hair as I sat under a Joshua tree and surveyed for local stingers sneaking up on me. My hair was littered with sand particles that I would discover for days. I had my paper, brushes, paints, and a container of water I packed in with me. I started a painting that would evolve dramatically.

My plan was to stay in Joshua Tree National Park past sunset to experience an unadulterated night sky. I drove the quiet roads in the pitch black night, pulling over to step out to take photos of the stars. The wind had grown chilly and whipped fiercely around rocky surfaces, attempting to slam my door shut. I stayed close to the cabin lights of the car for fear of getting lost in the night among the creatures that roamed there.

“Desert Winds” original Dreamscapes painting was an evolution of warm colors by day and cool, chaotic strokes by night. The desert is a mysterious place after sunset.

Original paintings are signed on the front within the artwork. Original art is also signed on the back, along with the artwork title and year, before framing. A certificate of authenticity ships with every original artwork.

Framing

This original painting is set in a thoughtfully-selected reclaimed frame. A fine art painter as well as upcycle artist, I find that the secret stories of repurposed frames complement my storied artwork. For me, the housing of an enchanted painting is as important as the original art itself.

While all reclaimed frames are carefully restored, minor imperfections may remain.

Packaging and Shipping

Please allow 5-10 days for preparation and packaging of your original artwork and another 3-5 days for shipping within the United States. A tracking number will be provided to you.

All sales are final. Thank you for understanding the nature of a small art studio. Each original painting is one-of-a-kind and sent out carefully into the world to you, the collector.
